Worst. Holiday. Ever
*A hilarious new book from the bestselling children's author* Just how scary can a holiday be? Very . . . Twelve-year-old Stan is going on holiday. To Italy. He's not going with his family though, he's going with his best-friend Felix (although if Stan was honestly ranking his friends, Felix would be number five). He's absolutely terrified. Luckily, as well as emergency euros, Stan's mum has given him an emergency list that includes how to survive a shark attack, and what to do if he gets abducted by kidnappers. Stan thinks that a better list would include how to cope with weird toilets, and what to do if he accidentally calls Felix's mum 'mum' in front of everybody. And it soon turns out that Italy is full of strange food, difficult games, jellyfish and mosquitoes called Ian. Can Stan survive all this, as well as very complicated (and also, actually, very strange) grown-ups? One thing's for certain, Stan's not going to come back the same boy he left. He just hope he comes back at all . . . Worst. Holiday. Ever is a story about facing fears, dealing with worries, and how it's OK to be anxious, scared, and sometimes a little bit brave.

Hamish Takes the Train
A touching tale about friendship and adventure featuring trains, cranes, a bear and a goose - the perfect bedtime story. This richly layered story is perfect for reading out loud or for children who have just learned to read. Hamish the bear and Noreen the goose lead a very good life in the country. They love to spend long days together, watching the trains whoosh past. But Hamish has always wondered what lies at the other end of the train tracks. And so begins Hamish's adventure as he journeys to the city to explore new places, makes new friends and even gets himself a job on a building site. But ultimately, Hamish realizes how much he misses his home and his good friend, Noreen. Hamish Takes the Train is a gorgeous, quirky story from rising star Daisy Hirst, who has been shortlisted for an AOI World Illustration Award and whose first picture book, The Girl With a Parrot on Her Head, was an Honor Book in the prestigious Ezra Jack Keats Awards. Daisy's artwork is expressive and beautifully textured, full of wry humour and real heart.

Grand Slam: Baseball Genius 3
Jalen DeLuca applies his baseball genius to his own playing in the follow-up to Tim Green and Derek Jeter's New York Times bestselling novel Baseball Genius. Jalen DeLuca loves baseball. But he's more than just a fan and a talented player; Jalen is a baseball genius. He can analyze and predict almost exactly what a pitcher is going to do with his next pitch. His unique ability helped him save the career of the Yankees's star baseman, James JY Yager, by signaling the pitches from the stands. Now turning his focus to his own baseball career, Jalen has to put his genius into action in new and untested ways. But without the stats and information he has on the pro players, analyzing the pitchers seems impossible. And even if he knows what the pitch will be, actually hitting it takes more than intuition. As if the pressure of the team and drama with his friends weren't enough, one major event changes everything--Jalen's mom comes back into his life. Can Jalen work through it all to hit a grand slam and make his baseball dreams a reality?

Cure for Wereduck: Book 2 of the Wereduck Series
Kate is an odd duck-literally. When the full moon arrives, the rest of her family turns into wolves, but she is a happy wereduck. Relatively happy, that is. Her family has been uprooted from their cozy backwoods cabin to a placid farming community thanks to a fellow werewolf, Marcus, selling them out to sleazy tabloid journalist Dirk Bragg. When Kate discovers her great-great-grandmother's recipe A Cure for Werewolf, she can't help but wonder-is it really possible? Could she one day resist the call of the moon? Could she be free from the constant threat of exposure? When Marcus's werewolf son, John, books a desperate train journey at the full moon, the ancient recipe and its arcane ingredients are put to the test. Will Dirk Bragg finally corner Kate and John in their were-forms and expose them to the world, or will Cure for Werewolf keep them safe? A rare sequel that is as full of action and revelations as its predecessor, 'Cure for Wereduck' is imaginative, exciting, and peppered with Dave Atkinson's delightful humour.
