Why Men Marry Bitches: A Woman's Guide to Winning Her Man's Heart
Sherry Argov's smash debut - the word-of-mouth international bestseller WHY MEN LOVE BITCHES - finally made it safe for nice women to stand up for themselves and be counted in the dating game, demonstrating that there's nothing more attractive to a man than a strong and confident woman. Argov is back with a fresh batch of spot-on, humour laced advice. Never shy and always laugh-out-loud funny, WHY MEN MARRY BITCHES is another sharp-witted manifesto on modern love that brings something altogether new to the relationship-advice shelves. With her signature wit and the grittiest of girlfriend detail, Argov peels back the layers even further by simplifying the complex dynamics of commitment, based on straight-talking interviews with scores of men who answered the following questions: * Do men manipulate women to deliberately keep the relationship casual? * How does a girl turn the tables and make her guy feel lucky to be with her? * Why is a mental challenge so exciting to a man? * How does a bitch create a fire in him...that he can't put out? WHY MEN MARRY BITCHES charts a clear course that will show you how to find love on your own terms with the right man. You will learn how to take control, redefine the typical dating dynamic, and get a ring on your finger...that he's wrapped around.

How Not to Hate Your Husband After Kids
Clever, honest and hilarious...her book should become a baby shower classic. (Publishers Weekly). Funny, honest and helpful. (Grazia). Loads of useful, achievable advice. (The Pool). How did I become the 'expert' at changing a nappy? Jancee Dunn wondered. This, combined with a lack of sleep, a suddenly unfair division of household chores and her husband's new found passion for very long bike rides, meant that Jancee found it hard to look at her well-meaning, clever, funny husband playing with his iPhone without feeling a white-hot rage. Like many expectant parents, they'd spent weeks researching the safest car seat but little time thinking about the titanic impact the baby would have on their marriage - and the way their marriage would affect their child. Tired of having the same fights over and over, Dunn consults the latest relationship research, solicits the counsel of renowned sex and couples therapists, canvasses friends and parents, and even consults an FBI hostage negotiator on how to effectively contain an 'explosive situation'. Could it be that the person who got her into this position is the ally she'd forgotten she had? Funny, honest and actually helpful, this book can't do the washing but it might just save your marriage.

Why Mummy Drinks
Why Mummy Drinks is the brilliant novel from Gill Sims, the author of the online sensation Peter and Jane. Boy Child Peter, Girl Child Jane and Daddy have exciting adventures with Mummy. Daddy likes gadgets. Peter and Jane like starting fires, trying to kill each other and driving Mummy to drink. Written from the point of view of an exhausted mummy at the end of the day, it's honest, it's funny, and it's a little bit sweary. It is Mummy's 39th birthday. She is staring down the barrel at a future of people asking if she wants to come to their yoga class, and book clubs, where everyone is wearing statement scarves and they are all 'tiddly' after a glass of Pinot Grigio. But Mummy does not want to go quietly into that good night of women with sensible haircuts who 'live for their children', boasting about Boy Child and Girl Child's achievements. Instead, she clutches a large glass of wine, muttering FML over and over, and then remembers the gem of an idea she's had...

Part advice, part memoir UNQUALIFIED will reveal Anna's unique take on how to navigate the bizarre, chaotic and worthwhile adventure of finding love. It will also tell the stories of her own relationship disasters leading up to the success that made it all worth it - her marriage to Chris Pratt. Since October 2015, a whole lot of people have been getting relationship advice from a very well-intentioned but untrained source - actress Anna Faris - on her ridiculously popular podcast, Unqualified. Long before she ever had a podcast, Anna had a penchant for digging into other people's personal lives and offering relationship advice to anyone who would listen. Her own personal life was messy even while her career soared as the lead in the Scary Movie franchise, a handful of movies, and, since 2013, as the star of the CBS comedy, MOM. She started Unqualified as something gone-a-goof, but the podcast is already getting 1.5 million downloads a month, growing 25% a month, and is consistently one of the most popular out there. Now, working with collaborator Rachel Bertsche, she is telling all in her first book UNQUALIFIED. Unable to find an ex who would spill the beans, Chris has graciously agreed to write the introduction.

F*cked: Being Sexually Explorative and Self-Confident in a World That's Screwed
Fucked if you do, fucked if you don't. For many people, that's the sad truth about sex today. When comedians Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson decided to start a podcast called Guys We F*cked wherein they interviewed guys they'd slept with, they soon discovered just how fucked we actually are - in more ways than one. Funny conversations about sexting and blow jobs quickly evolved into more serious topics as Corinne and Krystyna got to know their fans, who'd sometimes been sexually assaulted, verbally and emotionally abused, and most often, experienced intense, profound shame. From there, the podcast has evolved into a forum where taboo topics are discussed freely with celebrity guests including Amber Rose and Dan Savage, and interviews reveal fascinating insights from 'ordinary' people ranging from a famous porn star to a person who is asexual. F*cked brings this mix of raw and ridiculous conversation to the page with uncensored, in-depth essays from two blunt, hilarious women who've had their share of sexperiences, and spent their last few years telling everyone about them. Razor-sharp, laugh-out-loud commentary will include: o Why shame is completely made up and how we can stop giving into it o Sex talks with celebrities and real, raw questions from listeners with advice on intimate matters o Stuff we should stop doing: Snooping, nitpicking our bodies and faking orgasms o Investigative reporting in the field - from sex work to rape centres o Masturbation, threesomes, porn and much, much more Sex is weird and wonderful, and Corinne and Krysytna leave no stone unturned in this tour of kinks, confession, and sexual exploration that will leave readers with a stronger sense of self-worth and sexual liberation.

How do you know if you are in a relationship with a narcissist--and what can you do about it? Narcissism is a modern epidemic--and it's spreading rapidly. Narcissists tend to be pretty on the outside, but empty on the inside. While they are often successful, they are also controlling, manipulative, entitled, vain, and they have no empathy. If your significant other can be charismatic and charming one moment and leave you feeling disappointed, unsettled, and doubting yourself the next, you may be involved with a narcissist. This dangerous relationship can slowly ruin your sense of well-being and ultimately your psychological health. Sometimes leaving is the healthiest option. But sometimes it doesn't feel like an option, and you may have powerful reasons for staying--for your children, financial security, religious beliefs, or simply because you are in love. It shows you what to watch for and provides guidance on managing difficult situations. Committed: A Love Story
At the end of her bestselling memoir Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert fell in love with Felipe - a Brazilian-born man of Australian citizenship who'd been living in Indonesia when they met. Resettling in America, the couple swore eternal fidelity to each other, but also swore to never, ever, under any circumstances get legally married. (Both survivors of difficult divorces. Enough said.) But providence intervened one day in the form of the U.S. government, who - after unexpectedly detaining Felipe at an American border crossing - gave the couple a choice: they could either get married, or Felipe would never be allowed to enter the country again. Having been effectively sentenced to wed, Gilbert tackled her fears of marriage by delving completely into this topic, trying with all her might to discover (through historical research, interviews and much personal reflection) what this stubbornly enduring old institution actually is. The result is Committed - a witty and intelligent contemplation of marriage that debunks myths, unthreads fears and suggests that sometimes even the most romantic of souls must trade in her amorous fantasies for the humbling responsibility of adulthood. Gilbert's memoir - destined to become a cherished handbook for any thinking person hovering on the verge of marriage - is ultimately a clear-eyed celebration of love, with all the complexity and consequence that real love, in the real world, actually entails.

The New Mum's Notebook
The New Mum's Notebook: a sanity-saving journal; a companion to reassure the sleepless and unsure - this is every new mum's best friend. 'You've created the book that we all wish we'd had.' Clemmie, mum of two What do new mums want most of all (apart from sleep)? They want someone to tell them what they're feeling is 'normal.' That they're doing ok. That THEY will be ok. The New Mum's Notebook does all of this, and more. Amy Ransom, mum of three, is the writer of the Surviving Motherhood blog. She believes that no new mum should feel lost or overwhelmed. So she wrote The New Mum's Notebook to help each one navigate the first year of life with a baby, however she chooses to raise them. Here are 304 pages of reassurance, love and advice to support, inspire and entertain - whether it's baby number one or number five that's just arrived. Divided into the first 12 months of motherhood, there are also spaces to scribble everything down and to keep thoughts, feelings and memories from those crazy early days. From night feeds, napping and weaning; to which films to cue up on Netflix, finding some headspace and getting all the support, coffee and cake you need, Amy has been there - and this is the book she wishes she'd had by her side. She also knows - like the army of mums who have gone before - that it will get easier and that one day soon sleep and sanity will come again. Promise. This book has reduced me to tears with its honesty and kindness. It reminds me I'm not alone.' Victoria, mum of two 'I've had loads of baby record books and never ever filled one in. This book feels so different. I love it. (Annabel, mum of five). It is perfect for expectant mothers and new mums. It features 304 gorgeous colour pages including lots of reassurance, self-care advice, journal pages, affirmations and simple recipes. It is divided into 12 months to address each stage of a new mum and baby's first year. There are eight journal pages per month with space to write notes, thoughts, memories and all those 'to-dos'. A Table for One: A Critical Reading of Singlehood, Gender and Time
What are you waiting for? Stop wasting your time You will die alone, You will miss the train and stay on your own! These are some of the questions and warnings that single women hear on an everyday basis. Single women are constantly being asked whether they are ''still single,'' or being bid to get married next or soon. Still, soon, ever-after, waste of time, waiting, how long, when, all these form part of the rich language of time. This book argues that time plays a crucial rule in the discursive formation of female singlehood and that our common understanding of singlehood is dominated by underlying temporal models, premises and concepts. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach and integrating different theoretical realms and perspectives, this book paves way for a new theorization of singlehood and time. Lahad's unique approach gives us the opportunity to explore and theorize singlehood through temporal concepts such as waiting, wasting time, timeout and accelerated aging. Other temporal categories which are examined throughout this book as age, the life course, linearity and commodification of time enable the fresh consideration of our dominant perceptions about collective clocks, schedules, time tables and the temporal organization of social life in general. By proposing this new analytical direction, this book seeks to rework some of our common conceptions of singlehood, and presents a new theoretical arsenal with which the temporal paradigms which devalue and marginalize single women and women's subjectivies in general can be understated. Lahad argues that singlehood is sociologically important, because it touches upon some of the pressing issues in social life and raises fundamental questions about how people make sense of their lives and organize their lives with others. Drawing on a wide range of cultural resources - including web columns, blogs, advice columns, popular cliches, advertisements and references from television and cinema, the author challenges the meaning-making processes of singlehood and time. In this connection, the book lays the ground for a rich, multilayered politicized analysis of solo living and temporality and intends to be a mile stone in both singlehood and time studies. -- .
