Comprehensive Inorganic Chemistry II: From Elements to Applications
Comprehensive Inorganic Chemistry II reviews and examines topics of relevance to today's inorganic chemists. Covering more interdisciplinary and high impact areas, Comprehensive Inorganic Chemistry II includes biological inorganic chemistry, solid state chemistry, materials chemistry, and nanoscience. The work is designed to follow on, with a different viewpoint and format, from our 1973 work, Comprehensive Inorganic Chemistry, edited by Bailar, Emeleus, Nyholm, and Trotman-Dickenson, which has received over 2,000 citations. The new work will also complement other recent Elsevier works in this area, Comprehensive Coordination Chemistry and Comprehensive Organometallic Chemistry, to form a trio of works covering the whole of modern inorganic chemistry. Chapters are designed to provide a valuable, long-standing scientific resource for both advanced students new to an area and researchers who need further background or answers to a particular problem on the elements, their compounds, or applications. Chapters are written by teams of leading experts, under the guidance of the Volume Editors and the Editors-in-Chief. The articles are written at a level that allows undergraduate students to understand the material, while providing active researchers with a ready reference resource for information in the field. The chapters will not provide basic data on the elements, which is available from many sources (and the original work), but instead concentrate on applications of the elements and their compounds.

Lattice Properties: Supplement to Vols. III/17a, 22a (Print Version). Revised and Updated Edition of Vols. III/17a, 22a (CD-ROM)
Volumes III/17a-i and III/22a, b (supplement) on semiconductor physics and technology have been published earlier, the latter covering new data on the technologically important group IV elements and III-V, II-VI and I-VII compounds only. The wealth of further data from the last decade is now being critically evaluated by over 30 well-known experts in the field of semiconductors. To meet the demands of today's scientists and to offer a complete overview of semiconductor data, all data available so far are published in the following way: a series of five subvolumes covers only the supplementary data to volumes III/17 and 22. Each subvolume includes a CD-ROM containing a complete, revised and updated edition of all relevant data. For each individual substance the information is presented in user-friendly documents containing data, figures and references. Easy access to the documents is provided via substance and property keywords, listings and full text retrieval.

Handbook of Nuclear Chemistry: Vol. 1: Basics of Nuclear Science; Vol. 2: Elements and Isotopes: Formation, Transformation, Distribution; Vol. 3: Chemical Applications of Nuclear Reactions and Radiation; Vol. 4: Radiochemistry and Radiopharmaceutical Chem
This revised and extended 6 volume handbook set is the most comprehensive and voluminous reference work of its kind in the field of nuclear chemistry. The Handbook set covers all of the chemical aspects of nuclear science starting from the physical basics and including such diverse areas as the chemistry of transactinides and exotic atoms as well as radioactive waste management and radiopharmaceutical chemistry relevant to nuclear medicine. The nuclear methods of the investigation of chemical structure also receive ample space and attention. The international team of authors consists of scores of world-renowned experts - nuclear chemists, radiopharmaceutical chemists and physicists - from Europe, USA, and Asia. The Handbook set is an invaluable reference for nuclear scientists, biologists, chemists, physicists, physicians practicing nuclear medicine, graduate students and teachers - virtually all who are involved in the chemical and radiopharmaceutical aspects of nuclear science. The Handbook set also provides further reading via the rich selection of references.

Green Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
This expanded, revised, and updated second edition of Innovations in Green Chemistry and Green Engineering provides a comprehensive introduction to the state-of-the-art in this key area of sustainability research. Processes that meet the objectives of green chemistry and chemical engineering minimize waste and energy use, and eliminate toxic by-products. Given the ubiquitous nature of products from chemical processes in our lives, green chemistry and chemical engineering are vital components of any sustainable future. Peer-reviewed articles from worldwide experts present the latest developments on topics ranging from organic batteries and green catalytic transformations to green nanoscience and nanotoxicology. Now under the leadership of distinguished Editors from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, this volume in the Encyclopedia of Sustainability Science and Technology, Second Edition, is an essential, one-stop reference for professionals in research and industry. The book also fills the need for an authoritative course text in environmental and green chemistry and chemical engineering at the upper-division undergraduate and graduate levels.
