Plasticizers Database
The plasticizer database was developed to contain data required in plasticizers application. Attempts were made to include large number of plasticizers used in various sectors of industry to provide information for all users and to help in finding new solutions and formulations. Plasticizers included in the database can be divided into two categories: generic chemical name compounds and commercial plasticizers which are either mixtures of several components, industrial grades of particular compound, polymeric materials, or products having unknown, complex composition. The database contains solvents representing all chemical groups of materials which considered as plasticizers. In most cases, plasticizers differ from solvents by boiling point, which is above 250oC, but some plasticizers are used as temporary plasticizers or are expect to react with other components of mixture. These substances will not meet the boiling temperature standard but will still be included since they play role of plasticizers. The large number of the plasticizers and the data fields makes this database the most comprehensive database on plasticizers ever available in any source.

Database of Antiblocking, Release and Slip Additives
The Database of Antiblocking, Release, and Slip Additives contains the data required in the application of over 1000 critical additives. The additives are divided into two categories: generic chemical name compounds and commercial additives, which are either mixtures of several components, industrial grades of a particular compound, polymeric materials, or products having unknown, complex composition. The large number of records and available data fields make this the most comprehensive database on the subject ever available. The database is divided into five sections: General Information; Physical Properties; Health & Safety; Ecological Properties; and Use & Performance. There are 145 data fields that accommodate a variety of data available in source publications. The description of general sections in the Table of Contents gives more detail on the composition of the information. The displayed information contains additive name and its chemical structure (if generic compound). The data can be viewed on screen and printed in a predefined format. System Requirements: Pentium or later generation processor. Windows NT or later generation Windows operating system. Screen resolution of 800x600 or greater.

Value Management (VM) is a structured, team-oriented approach to problem solving that can be applied to the concept, design, construction and on-going management phases of a project. The primary reasons for any client or consultant to commission a VM study is to achieve value improvements and/or monetary savings. The Framework document This has been developed from an international benchmarking exercise of VM processes, procedures, tools and techniques used in construciton and manufacturing. It presents clear, step-by-step procedures for undertaking the VM process on construction projects and highlights the requirements at specific 'value opportunity' points in the project life cycle. Practitioners and clients can use this framework to develop specific agendas and procedures to ensure they will receive the maximum benefit from the tools and techniques presented. The Research document This document presents the findings of the three year research programme that formed the basis for the Framework results. It compares and contrasts the various methodologies, tools, and techniques of VM and highlights the strengths and weaknesses of various procedures at each stage of the product life cycle. Fieldwork for the report was undertaken in the UK, mainland Europe, North America and Australia. In addition, regional workshops comprising clients, designers, construction professionals and professional associations were held to critically appraise the Framework before it was finalised. See also related publications The Value Management Benchmark: The Framework document and The Value Management Benchmark: The Research results. THE FRAMEWORK DOCUMENT, THE RESEARCH DOCUMENT AND THE INTERACTIVE CD ARE AVAILABLE AT A SPECIAL COMBINED PRICE OF GBP77.88. Reliability, Risk and Safety - Back to the Future
Reliability, Risk and Safety: Back to the Future covers topics on reliability, risk and safety issues, including risk and reliability analysis methods, maintenance optimization, human factors, and risk management. The application areas range from nuclear engineering, oil and gas industry, electrical and civil engineering to information technology and communication, security, transportation, health and medicine or critical infrastructures. Significant attention is paid to societal factors influencing the use of reliability and risk assessment methods, and to combinatorial analysis, which has found its way into the analysis of probabilities and risk, from which quantified risk analysis developed. Integral demonstrations of the use of risk analysis and safety assessment are provided in many practical applications concerning major technological systems and structures. Reliability, Risk and Safety: Back to the Future will be of interest to academics and engineers interested in nuclear engineering, oil and gas engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, information technology, communication, and infrastructure.

Biodegradation Probability Program
A powerful PC-based program designed for regulatory screening and prioritizing and industrial screening of chemicals Take the guesswork out of calculating the probability of a chemical biodegrading rapidly or slowly under anaerobic conditions in a mixed culture of microorganisms. Biodegradation Probability Program does the calculations for you using fragment constants developed with multiple linear and non-linear regressions and data from Syracuse Research Corporation's evaluation biodegradation database (BIODEG). The program will run on any IBM (R) or IBM-compatible computer with 260K RAM. Biodegradation Probability Program is already being used by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and major chemical companies. It is indispensable for environmental professionals and regulatory people who need to predict biodegradibility for chemicals lacking experimental data. The program will be of special interest to all remediation firms working with biodegradation technologies.

Combined Devices for Humanitarian Demining and Explosive Detection: Proceedings of a Technical Meeting Held in Padova, Italy, 13-17 November 2006
The IAEA's programme on Advanced Nuclear Techniques for Detection of Landmines and Bulk Explosive Material helps Member States to apply and develop nuclear techniques for this purpose. This publication is the proceedings of a technical meeting organized to evaluate combinations of technologies most appropriate for the detection of land mines and explosives in different landscapes, including civil security related applications. The objectives were to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of various methods, to discuss possible combinations of technologies and, in particular, to underline those aspects that make a specific technology well adapted to integration in more complex systems. Experimental results, as well as applicable simulations and calculations, have been presented to identify emerging and future issues and challenges. Topics include: applicability of nuclear techniques for explosives detection and humanitarian demining, combined systems (nuclear and non-nuclear techniques), developments in instrumentation, and issues relating to integrated research and education.

Analytical Method Validation & Instrument Calibration
Validation describes the procedures used to analyze pharmaceutical products so that the data generated will comply with the requirements of regulatory bodies of the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. Calibration of Instruments describes the process of fixing, checking or correcting the graduations of instruments so that they comply with those regulatory bodies. This book provides a thorough explanation of both the fundamental and practical aspects of biopharmaceutical and bioanalytical methods validation. It teaches the proper procedures for using the tools and analysis methods in a regulated lab setting. Readers will learn the appropriate procedures for calibration of laboratory instrumentation and validation of analytical methods of analysis. These procedures must be executed properly in all regulated laboratories, including pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical laboratories, clinical testing laboratories (hospitals, medical offices) and in food and cosmetic testing laboratories.
