Chronic Pancreatitis: An Interdisciplinary Approach

Hardback
Treatment of chronic pancreatitis remains controversial. In the past, mortality and morbidity rates of surgery were high. Considering the fact that the majority of patients are young, conservative treatment bears considerable socioeconomic costs. A variety of new interventional modalities, both endoscopic and surgical, are currently undergoing evaluation. Considering these new treatment options, this book aims to give an interdisciplinary approach to the therapy of chronic pancreatitis.
